Everyone knows the value of tooth brushing. It is possible to incorporate daily brushing into many felines’ daily routine.

Cats provide a special challenge though when it comes to dental care. While suffering from the same issues as dogs (periodontal disease, tooth fractures and oral masses) a large percentage maybe affected by more unique syndromes, namely gingivostomatitis and tooth resorption. For more information click here.

Dr. Julia has a special interest in feline dentistry.  She has dedicted many continuing education hours to ongoing training with Veterinary Dental Specialists.  She is a member of a dental focus group led by Dr Brett Beckman that meets monthly online to discuss cases and expand knowledge in this area.
